About Me

Susie's love for sewing began at the age of 14 in her family’s tailoring business in Vietnam. After getting married she came to the United States in 2005, where she worked for the Houston Grand Opera for six years as a tailor. During those six years she was exposed to a variety of fabrics and designs, as well as clothing styles from different time periods. Some of the shows she collaborated were Aida, Madame Butterfly, Tosca, Lucia di Lammermoor, Chorus! and Last Act. Susie has also worked for the Houston Ballet and the University of Houston, where she collaborated with designers. This gave her the knowledge to create clothing out of sketches and drawings, making her sewing skills all the more rewarding. In 2011, she received the Tech of Year Award, paving her way to becoming an entrepreneur and credentialed expert in her field.

Her confidence expanded into opening her own business. Susie now has a successful alteration/tailoring business due in no small part to her expertise in the tailoring field.  Susie’s specialty for tailoring and alterations includes prom dresses, bridesmaid and wedding dresses as well as mens’ clothing and suits.
